Supporting our Local Cherryland Humane Society
At Plascon, our culture is built around people. It’s about more than the work we do each day. It’s about building connections, supporting one another, and coming together for something meaningful. Recntly our Workplace Happiness and Morale Team (WHAM!) brought that culture to life by hosting a raffle-style auction to support the incredible work of our local Cherryland Humane Society (CHS) in Traverse City, Michigan.
Working Together to Make a Difference
Over three exciting days, team members led the charge to collect funds through raffle ticket sales, while the entire staff joined in by purchasing tickets for a chance to win individual prizes. The energy across the workplace was undeniable as everyone rallied together, showcasing the people‑driven, community‑minded culture we’re proud to foster—all in support of the CHS.
Local businesses truly stepped up to support of the raffle, contributing a wonderful assortment of prizes from Oryana, the Traverse City Pit Spitters, Grand Beach and Sugar Beach Resort, Chateau Chantal, Right Brain Brewery, Shoreline Fruit, and Solitude Float and Wellness. And the kindness didn’t end there. A local CHS supporter donated beautifully hand‑knit and crocheted scarf and hat sets, and one of our own team members added homemade dog treats and hand towels—bringing a heartfelt, personal touch to the fundraiser.
Profits Going to a Great Cause
Together, we raised an incredible $705, and with Plascon’s generous 50% match, the total donation was more than $1000! Half of the funds raised were used to purchase much‑needed items from CHS's wish list, ensuring the animals received essential supplies. Our staff members then personally delivered these items to CHS, adding a meaningful, hands‑on touch to the effort. The remaining amount was donated directly as a cash contribution to support their ongoing work.
